The threaded Luer Lock tip screws securely onto a separate Luer Lock needle, so the needle stays locked in place even when you're pushing against resistance, something a plain slip-tip connection can't guarantee. That secure hold makes it a practical choice for reconstituting medications, drawing measured doses for IV push administration, or handling thicker solutions where a pop-off connection would be a real problem.
